Stellar Canine Academy Branding
Logo Design Project 2021
We were requested to design their logo because we were recommended by a friend of theirs, in the same industry, who we had previously designed for. The client were very happy with the end result. As a family pet training business, they wanted a cute, happy, loving, and friendly logo that had a silhouette of a dog & a star included somewhere.
After hearing about how they’d like their logo to evoke feelings of happiness & love, we figured that the silhouette should be of a dog, playing, with a ball in its mouth (usually when a dog is at peak happiness). Having the dog silhouette within the star symbolized that they’re the primary focus and that through training, they can shine even brighter for themselves & their family.

Harlow fonts are great for this kind of design. They’re more decorative and give off more of a playful-yet-elegant feeling, which symbolizes professionalism with a hint of fun. In addition to that, the rounded edges of the Nunito Medium give off a sense of welcoming freindliness.

We incorporated the silhouette of the dog and the star in a very simple way. The star represents guidance, exceptional performance, and great success, which are great traits for a Canine Training Business. The dog represents happiness, joy, & playfulness; feelings that belong not only to a playing dog but also the feelings of the family when living with an obedient, well-trained companion.
